Can Rice Cookers Catch Fire?

If you buy a rice cooker with quality assurance and can use it correctly, the rice cooker will not catch fire.

The chance of a rice cooker catching fire is very small, but you should try to avoid this from happening.

So you need to pay attention to the following points in daily use:

(1) I suggest you buy a rice cooker with quality assurance from regular sales channels, or you can also buy a rice cooker with automatic power-off function.

(2) Before using the rice cooker, you should check whether the plug of the rice cooker has water droplets or debris to prevent the poor contact between the plug and the socket from causing safety hazards.

(3) Before using the rice cooker to cook, you must make sure that there are no water stains and dirt on the bottom of the pot and the electric heating plate.

You can wipe the bottom of the pot and the heating plate with a clean, dry cloth.

(4) Unplug the rice cooker in time when you run out of rice cooker or power outage to prevent the temperature controller of the rice cooker from burning out and causing fire.
