1. Sow
Thorn apple (Datura stramonium) adopts sowing, which is the most used breeding method.
We mainly wash and dry the selected seeds, and soak them in warm water for several hours.
Then we apply an appropriate amount of rotten organic fertilizer to the soil, stir it fully, and sow the seeds in the soil respectively.
We should control the temperature above 15 ℃.
It can germinate in about 2 ~ 3 weeks.
2. Cutting
Cutting is one of the common methods for breeding thorn apple (Datura stramonium), and it is mainly carried out in winter and spring.
We first use healthy lignified branches as cuttings and cut them into about 10 cm.
We need to cut off the branches and leaves at the base, and then insert them directly into the soil.
We keep the substrate moist after pouring water every day.
It will germinate about 3 ~ 4 weeks.
3. Batten
When we give thorn apple (Datura stramonium) for layering propagation, we mainly use the branches close to the ground as materials.
We can cut the lignified branches at the top into rings, cut off the upper epidermis, and then insert them directly into the soil.
We covered the wound with a film and fixed it with a heavy object.
We should always keep the matrix moist.
After it grows new buds, we can cut short the branches.
4. Precautions
