The culture soil of Opuntia tuna shall be loose, moderately fertile, neutral or slightly acidic and rich in organic calcium.
When our family cultivates Opuntia tuna, the basin soil volume is limited and the buffer to water and fertilizer is poor.
Therefore, the properties of culture soil of Opuntia tuna must be higher than those of natural soil:
① The soil is loose, and the soil particles cannot contain too fine dust.
② The fertility is moderate, and the soil cannot contain immature organic matter.
③ The culture soil should be neutral or slightly acidic, and only a few species like slightly alkaline soil.
④ The soil should be rich in organic calcium.
